I have to say that I thought I finally had this moving to a new house thing down. Everything about this upcoming move of mine to Texas has been easy. I found a great energy service provider (if you want a great informational website try SHOPELECTRICITYRATESTEXAS.com), a great deal on cable, and a great house. However, once I got here it seemed like I had forgotten to do a million little things. I had forgotten to re-route all of my mail, so I didn’t receive bills for several weeks. This wouldn’t have been a huge deal if they wouldn’t have started cutting off all of my appliances! I guess looking back on it now it was kind of funny, but at the time it was pretty overwhelming. Another thing that I forgot to do was bring a box of things that I would need right away (light bulbs, kitchenware, etc.). I would definitely recommend doing those things to anyone thinking about moving soon! Otherwise you’ll end up pretty frustrated- just like me!

Got it down

The Old Farmhouse
Thanks for the guest post by Esteban Vinson
My husband and I bought the old farmhouse of our dreams and we’re hoping one day to be able to turn it into a bed and breakfast. The idea of having guests in and out of our home and serving them delicious meals makes me oh so happy! We’ve made a lot of improvements to the home so far but we’ve still got a lot of work to do including adding on that wraparound porch we’ve both been wanting for years. There’s nothing more satisfying than getting a job completed, though, like last week when I researched at http://www.securitychoice.com and now we’ve got the new alarm installed. My mother is going to come up and help us decorate the place since I don’t really have a good eye for that type of thing and once we’re done with that we’ll get the necessary permits and get this bed and breakfast running! It’s been a long time coming but there’s no stopping us now, we’re on a mission!

Why I Stay Up On the Latest CSI Episodes
Guest written by our friend Jan Chandler
CSI is a TV show that has taken the world by storm it seems. Everyone is trying to get a peak into the way a Crime Scene Investigation unit works by watching this hit series. Many just admire Horacio and his team members, but whatever the case it's a show that will have you hungry for the next episode.
Of course I watch this on HD which is a feature included in one of the plans that the satellite company offered me. It's the best way to watch it as it feels like you're right there in the lab with them watching them embark upon each move like an unpredictable chess game between two geniuses.
Quick CSI Reminder: NBC releases episodes of CSI as well, but there are premium movie channels that air other new episodes that NBC doesn't air. Either way, to get the ultimate experience, you do need HD which comes through your local satellite provider.
The reason HD is so highly recommended is that the analog version doesn't show fine details and there are a lot of those during any crime scene investigation that you watch on television from DirectStarTv.com.

Heading back to school
Thanks to Wm Rowe
Getting your kids ready o go back to school does not have to be a hassle. All moms have been there. You have had them home for 3 weeks of fun, crafts, baking and family visits. Now it is time to go to bed at a decent hour, wake up early and head out the door. If your kids are anything like mine getting back into a regular routine can be a nightmare. No one wants to go to bed, or wake up early and certainly no one wants to get dressed and onto the bus. With a few simple tricks though, the first day back to school can go smoothly and you can get back to your daily routine as well. First, I start easing them back into having a bedtime. I slowly start getting them into bed a little earlier each day. I also start waking them up a little earlier each day. This takes away some of the shellshock of an 8:00pm bedtime and a 6:00am wakeup. The night before I let them help pack their lunch, pick out their school clothes and pack their backpacks. This reminds them that yes, there is school tomorrow and no, you are not missing it. With everything all ready it makes getting out in the morning easier. All we have to do is grab their bags, set the home security alarm from http://www.besthomesecurity.com and away we go!
