My mother in law recently retired after working over thirty years for the
same company. When she retired, she got a really nice bonus. She told us that
she wants to take our whole family on a vacation. She said that she has been
watching the Travel Channel on direct
tv trying to find a great vacation spot. After watching several different
“top beaches” shows, she has decided to take us to Hawaii. She said they have a
lot of really nice resorts on the beach. She and I can lay out all day long
while the boys do boring stuff like pay golf. She said that most of the resorts
have restaurants and spas too. This sounds like it is going to be the perfect
vacation. I have never been to Hawaii before and I am so excited. It makes it
even better that she told us that we cannot pay for anything. I got along pretty
well with my mother in law before, but now that she is going to take us to
Hawaii, we get along even better.

Ruffles!
Guest written by our friend Clara Castro
I was on the phone talking to HOME SECURITY FAMILY about getting
an alarm system installed when I heard a loud crash in the other room. As soon
as I got off the phone with the representative and had made an appointment for
them to come out next week, I peeked in the other room to see what the crash
was. A jade tree that I had growing in the conservatory was on the ground. The
plant stand was knocked over and the beautiful old Imari ceramic pot that it was
growing in was smashed into a ton of little pieces. I have been growing that
jade tree for years and it had just started to get big. For some reason, they
are really hard to grown. My kids weren’t home, so I knew that they hadn’t been
throwing the football in the house ( yes, a problem at our home sometimes). I
thought about who the next culprit could be and then I saw Ruffles, our cat in
the corner. He looked totally guilty. I was shocked that he had been able to
knock over the plant stand. He usually never causes any problems in the
house!

Fever
Jolaine is sick since yesterday. She is really hot! And she doesn't like to drink medicine I have to force her to drink it. I just want her to get well. She is not eating well I am afraid she is going to lose weight again. I really don't like it when my kids get sick because they won't eat and they loose weight so fast. They are already skinny..
Well, I hope she feels better soon. And hope it won't pass to us...

Dropping my son at school
I just dropped my son at his school this morning. Usually that's Joel's job and my job is to picked him up this afternoon well, Joel was in the shower and I was afraid if Joey will be late so I took him at his school. I saw this lady on the street walking on her way home and I stopped at her and I drove her home to save her from walking. She was thankful hhehee.. Anyway, I am going to pick up my son later this afternoon. I have to walk though it's not really far from our house its just behind but I hate the texas heat LOL..I don't like walking it's too hot blahh

Got it down
I have to say that I thought I finally had this moving to a new house thing down. Everything about this upcoming move of mine to Texas has been easy. I found a great energy service provider (if you want a great informational website try SHOPELECTRICITYRATESTEXAS.com), a great deal on cable, and a great house. However, once I got here it seemed like I had forgotten to do a million little things. I had forgotten to re-route all of my mail, so I didn’t receive bills for several weeks. This wouldn’t have been a huge deal if they wouldn’t have started cutting off all of my appliances! I guess looking back on it now it was kind of funny, but at the time it was pretty overwhelming. Another thing that I forgot to do was bring a box of things that I would need right away (light bulbs, kitchenware, etc.). I would definitely recommend doing those things to anyone thinking about moving soon! Otherwise you’ll end up pretty frustrated- just like me!

Keeping toys organized
First thing is first: The big deep toy chest just doesn't work for keeping kids toys organized. Why? Because you can't have the same place for everything especially if you are going to try to find the tiny little army men among the big remote control trucks. Just like when organizing a kitchen keep like toys with like. Group them by set and by size. Avoid using containers with lids, especially if you have small children. Taking off the lid to put something away is just an extra step that will probably decrease the chances that your kids are going to put things away. See through (clear) containers are good for small toys such as matchbox cars, Barbie doll clothes, etc rather than taking the time to label the containers. If your kids like to play legos or Barbies are everywhere than invest in a container on wheels so they can put away the toys where they are playing with them.

Nosebleed!
My daughter Jodel gets nosebleed often. I don't know why she do that. She is the only one that gets nosebleed around here. Sunday, I went to get a small fountain to put on her room and since then she is okay. Her nose is not bleeding and well, it's only two days I don't know if it really works or not but so far she is not bleeding yet.. I hope it helps! The fountain gives moisture in her room. Her nose and throat maybe gets too dry and irritates it and hope the fountain helps..

The Old Farmhouse
Thanks for the guest post by Esteban Vinson
My husband and I bought the old farmhouse of our dreams and we’re hoping one day to be able to turn it into a bed and breakfast. The idea of having guests in and out of our home and serving them delicious meals makes me oh so happy! We’ve made a lot of improvements to the home so far but we’ve still got a lot of work to do including adding on that wraparound porch we’ve both been wanting for years. There’s nothing more satisfying than getting a job completed, though, like last week when I researched at http://www.securitychoice.com and now we’ve got the new alarm installed. My mother is going to come up and help us decorate the place since I don’t really have a good eye for that type of thing and once we’re done with that we’ll get the necessary permits and get this bed and breakfast running! It’s been a long time coming but there’s no stopping us now, we’re on a mission!

Baby is not sleeping yet!!
It's now almost 11:30 and Jolaine is still wide awake. She is watching Caillou at her crib. Hay She doesn't want to go to sleep yet. She took a late nap this afternoon.."that's a big reason why she is not sleeping yet".
Anyway, Jolaine is getting harder to handle. She screams if she doesn't get what she wants. It's hard. Anyway, I am going to try to potty train her this month. I hope I will be succesful. She is now 17 months old baby..

The door's locked!
Yesterday afternoon, I was cleaning our patio outside while Jolaine my 18 months old baby watching toystory inside..Then, when I was done cleaning I was gonna go inside but I couldn't open the door she locked it. I got panic! She was inside by herself crying. I don't have a key and a cellphone standing outside the door. Then a minute later, Marcie's car our neighbor was just got in thank goodness so I asked her if I could barrow her phone so I could call my husband and so I did called Joel asking him to go home quick cause my baby was inside the house by herself crying and screaming while calling Mama..Well, I returned the phone to my neighbor and tried to talk to Jolaine to open the door calmly two minutes later she did! Wow I got in..So, I called Joel again telling him to not to go home. Thank goodness she did or if she didn't open the door she was going to cry inside for about 45minutes.. She was just there crying for about 10 minutes.
Jolaine can do lots of things now, she can open the door, lock the door, climb everywhere, oh my she into everything. It's so hard to handle especially when we go out to eat I am having a hard time..really...

Promote your business
My husband and his Dad has a furniture business. I think you can call it a "partner". They are a partner. They started it couple of years ago. They have been so busy lately and so is my husband. Joel sometimes work late at night. And I don't really like it when all he do is work all the time.
Anyway, they need to promote their business. There are so many ways to promote businesses by advertising products through t-shirts, cuztomized notepads, pens, drinkwares, tote bags and other kinds of things. You can put your business name and website on the products and give it to your friends and family.
I talked to my husband about it and he is going to do the t-shirts. I think that's cool. I am trying to help them. I sometimes blog about their business, twitter it, and advertise the business at facebook.
Well, if you guys want to promote your business you need to advertise them buy using promotional products. Pls. visit gopromos.com and get promotional things like pens, notepads, apparel etc and give it away to people.
Try it guys and I guarantee you that it will help your business grow. Let all the people know about your business!!

Big girl..
Jolaine could not sleep without holding my hair. Last night I tried to put her on the crib but she just cried and cried so I put her beside me until she falls asleep. I want her to know that she needs to sleep on her crib. I was having a hard time last night. Really..
Anyway, this afternoon I put her in her crib and put the songs on and wow she went to sleep right away without me holding her. I need to do this 'cause I am tired of her sleeping with me.. She just need to sleep on her own bed.

Why I Stay Up On the Latest CSI Episodes
Guest written by our friend Jan Chandler
CSI is a TV show that has taken the world by storm it seems. Everyone is trying to get a peak into the way a Crime Scene Investigation unit works by watching this hit series. Many just admire Horacio and his team members, but whatever the case it's a show that will have you hungry for the next episode.
Of course I watch this on HD which is a feature included in one of the plans that the satellite company offered me. It's the best way to watch it as it feels like you're right there in the lab with them watching them embark upon each move like an unpredictable chess game between two geniuses.
Quick CSI Reminder: NBC releases episodes of CSI as well, but there are premium movie channels that air other new episodes that NBC doesn't air. Either way, to get the ultimate experience, you do need HD which comes through your local satellite provider.
The reason HD is so highly recommended is that the analog version doesn't show fine details and there are a lot of those during any crime scene investigation that you watch on television from DirectStarTv.com.

Malling with kids..
We were going to the park today but the park was full of people so my kids and decided to go to the mall let them play at the playgroud. Jolaine is more happier if we go to the mall because it is easier for her and it's less dirty lol..Park is kinda dirty. I don't like sands...
Anyway, Joey's classmate Jhony was there and I finally meet his Mom. Joey took about Jhonny most of the time asking me if he can come over at our house but how can we do that if we don't know his parents so I am glad we went there and meet them accidentaly.

Baby carriers
I bought a baby carrier when my son was a baby so I could carry him at my back. We bought one at the store and we love using it and it was very easy to use. Joel was the one carrying the baby with the baby carrier most of the time. Then, we gave it to Joel's nephew Mike when Joey got bigger. I am sure they are using it a lot they have 3 kids already and fixing to be four. Mike's wife is pregnant again and their kids are all girls.
Anyway, We thought we are not going to have another baby so we gave it away and I am sure they have been using it. Baby carriers, backpack slings, infant hip carrier - they are good to use especially if you got twins lol.. If you are planning for a vacation and needs a lot of walking with your baby? Well I would suggest for you to buy a baby carrier or a backpack sling.

Not eating well!
Jolaine was sleepy and so I gave her milk while my kids were eating their supper Sunday evening. When I was done putting my baby to sleep I went downstairs and I was wondering that my kids already got up from the table and their plates were all clean. I checked the trash can and there it was. Their food was in the trash! They made me upset and I told them never to do it again... :(

Heading back to school
Thanks to Wm Rowe
Getting your kids ready o go back to school does not have to be a hassle. All moms have been there. You have had them home for 3 weeks of fun, crafts, baking and family visits. Now it is time to go to bed at a decent hour, wake up early and head out the door. If your kids are anything like mine getting back into a regular routine can be a nightmare. No one wants to go to bed, or wake up early and certainly no one wants to get dressed and onto the bus. With a few simple tricks though, the first day back to school can go smoothly and you can get back to your daily routine as well. First, I start easing them back into having a bedtime. I slowly start getting them into bed a little earlier each day. I also start waking them up a little earlier each day. This takes away some of the shellshock of an 8:00pm bedtime and a 6:00am wakeup. The night before I let them help pack their lunch, pick out their school clothes and pack their backpacks. This reminds them that yes, there is school tomorrow and no, you are not missing it. With everything all ready it makes getting out in the morning easier. All we have to do is grab their bags, set the home security alarm from http://www.besthomesecurity.com and away we go!

I put white and red heart in the middle and 8 white buttons in the side and I put a gold heart in the top middle. It looks cute Joey like. And then I wrote in the three white heart I love you happy valentines day.. I wish I took picture of it but I forgot. Anyhow, hope everyone will have a happy valentines day.

Appetite changed
Jolaine is not eating so good and I can understand that. If I am sick I don't want to eat anything too so I guess it's okay. She is drinking milk and eat soup and crankers that's all she eat. I am a little bit worried but she is okay. She plays a little bit but most of the time she wants me to hold her. It's hard when ur kids are sick you can't do anything except to take care of them.

So cold in the morning...
I am so tired of the cold weather. Every time we go outside early in the morning it is freaking so cold out there. The school bus arrives around 7:35 in the morning and we go out at least 2 minutes before the bus comes. I don't want to miss the bus that's why we need to be there outside and wait and yes, we always gets cold and freeze everytime we wait for the bus. I can't wait for summer!
